Terms & Conditions

Short version: this site is general information and the calculators are estimates. Nothing here is credit advice or an offer of credit.

What these terms cover

These terms apply to your use of this website. They are between you and KP Mortgage Brokers. By browsing the site, using the calculators or sending an enquiry, you accept them.

They do not create a client relationship, and they are not the terms on which we would act for you. If you go on to engage us, you receive a separate credit guide and, where relevant, a credit proposal disclosure that sets out our obligations, our remuneration and your rights.

The information here is general

Everything published on this site is general information. It does not take your objectives, financial situation or needs into account, and it is not credit advice, financial advice, tax advice or legal advice.

Lender policies, interest rates, government schemes and stamp duty concessions change frequently and often without notice. We update this site periodically, but we do not warrant that every page reflects the current position on the day you read it. Confirm anything that matters with us directly before you act on it.

Calculators are estimates only

The repayment calculator on this site applies a standard amortisation formula to the figures you enter. It assumes a principal and interest loan with the interest rate held constant for the full term.

It excludes fees, charges, lenders mortgage insurance, offset arrangements, redraw, and any change in interest rates. Its output is an illustration, not a quote, not a pre-approval, and not an offer of credit. Your actual repayment is set by your lender in your loan contract.

No offer of credit

Nothing on this website is an offer to lend or a promise that credit will be approved. Every application is subject to the chosen lender's assessment, criteria, verification and its own terms and conditions.

Where we describe likely timeframes, borrowing ranges or lender appetite, we are describing our experience of how those lenders generally behave. We cannot bind a lender to any of it.

Fees

On most residential lending the lender pays our commission when the loan settles, so there is no charge to you. Some commercial, specialist and short term lending carries a broker fee.

Where a fee applies to your matter, you will be told the amount in writing before anything is lodged, and you are free to decide not to proceed.

Using the site

Please use the site lawfully. Do not attempt to interfere with it, gain unauthorised access to any part of it, submit false information through the enquiry form, or use automated tools to harvest content or flood the form.

Do not send identity documents, tax file numbers, bank statements or other sensitive material through the website form. If we need those, we will tell you a secure way to send them.

Content and intellectual property

The text, layout, design and code of this site belong to KP Mortgage Brokers or its licensors. The logo and business name are ours. Photographs used on this site are licensed stock imagery.

You may read, print and share pages for your own personal use. You may not republish, resell or systematically copy the content without our written permission.

Links to other sites

Where we link to a lender, government body or other third party, we do so for convenience. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement.

Availability and liability

We try to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error free.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site or from reliance on its general information. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Complaints

If something has gone wrong, tell us first. Email kpsingh@kpmortgage.com.au or call +61 415 066 501 and we will work through it with you.

If you engage us and remain unsatisfied after we have responded, our credit guide sets out our internal dispute process and the external dispute resolution scheme available to you at no cost.

Privacy

How we handle the information you send through this site is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here is the one that applies, so please check back if you use the site regularly.

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you and we submit to the courts of that state.

Questions about these terms can go to kpsingh@kpmortgage.com.au.
